What You Should Know Before the 2B Premiere of Shadowhunters
Quick recap of Shadowhunters 2A. *Spoilers inside
Are you a Shadowhunters fan? If you miss the show, you will have to wait for not much longer because season 2b returns on June 5th, 2017 on Freeform at 8/7c. The TV series differs a bit from the written stories and this allows this keeps the audience guessing, waiting and wanting for more.
Shadowhunters follows a group of 7 adults as they navigate the shadow world filled with Vampires, Warlocks, Demons and Werewolves among other species. It is a series based on The Mortal Instruments book series by Cassandra Clare. You may catch up on seasons 1 and 2 without signing in on Freeform.

- The shadow world is in chaos
Jace, unknowingly, killed a lot of Downworlders when her wielded the soul sword. He was tricked by Valentine to think that he had demon blood which would destroy the soul sword when he, in fact, had pure angel blood to fuel the sword. As a result of this Simon found out that he is a Vampire after receiving Jace’s pure angel blood to save his life.
- Izzy is in trouble
Our dearly beloved Isabelle Lightwood is addicted to Yin Fen, which is made from Vampire’s venom. She refused Alec’s help when he found out about the addiction and then managed to save his life afterward.
- Jace is NOT Valentine’s son
This also means that Jace is not Clary’s brother, at all. This was revealed after Valentine and Jace fought with the soul sword (primarily used to get the truth out of Nephilims). The soul sword is now missing and the perpetrator is still unknown.
- Climon is real
Simon confessed his love for Clary and now they are dating. This, however, may cause tiffs because Jace recently found out that he and Clary are not siblings, so the ball is entirely in Clary’s court. Who will she choose?
- Malec is total endgame
Magnus and Alec confessed their love for each other in the 2A finale. Alec thought Magnus died in the chaos but they reconnected outside the Institute and shared meaningful words with each other.
