After the recent news that Netflix’s hit show, 13 Reasons Why, will be renewed for a second season, audiences remained confused as to how the story would continue when the story was supposedly over after the 13th tape.

According to E! Online, Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) will not be the narrator for the forthcoming season. However, she will still be a major part of season 2. At Netflix’s FYSee event on Friday, executive producer, Brian Yorkey, explained further saying, “Hannah told her version of the events but there are at least 12 kids that have another version of those events that we haven’t really heard from yet, so we have a bit more of Hannah’s story to tell”.

Additionally, there will be justice for Jessica (Alisha Boe). The show left off with Jessica deciding to tell her dad that she had been raped. Her story will remain authentic and depict the healing process of real life rape victims.

It’s not only exciting to see that Yorkey will be deepening each character’s story further, but it’s also refreshing to see that he is well aware of the criticism that is taking place. The criticism is not going to stop him from continuing forward.
