The childhood years of your favorite nerd is coming to TV!

Sheldon Cooper may be one of the most lovable and famous genius nerds around the world, quirks and all (talks about his special seat, his roommate and relationship agreement)! His obsessive behaviors and the constant tirade of the people around him and their lives are what make him not only a household name but also a household favorite. His often childlike behaviors sometimes have the viewers questioning his sanity, but then he says something completely genius and not comprehensible by the public and we fall in love with his character even more. Have you ever wondered why Sheldon Lee Cooper is the way he is? Well, worry no more because your questions will be answered this fall.

Young Sheldon, a spin-off of CBS’s hit TV comedy series The Big Bang Theory, will focus on the life of a young 9-year-old Sheldon’s journey through his family and school life. Sheldon is quite a peculiar and somewhat outlandish character with a love for trains and all things physics, and this show will provide the audience with background on the character.

The prequel will star Iain Armitage as young Sheldon, and Zoe Perry as his mother, Mary Cooper. The show will be narrated by Jim Parson, who plays grown Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. A special premiere will air after The Big Bang Theory on  September 25th, 2017 at 8:30 pm. The show will resume in its normal slot on November 2, 2017, at 8:30 pm. That’s two Sheldons for the price of one, back to back.
