Hailee Steinfeld Releases Music Video For Most Girls

Hailee Steinfeld just wants to be like Most Girls!

Hailee Steinfeld wants to be every woman and promote a positive image for women and woman empowerment. The lyrics to the song speaks of how different girls feel best when dressed in different attires whether that be sweatpants or short dresses.

The video starts with Hailee being told that she is “just not like most girls” by a male after which she proceeds to leave because it is something that girls face everyday as if being like someone else is such a bad thing. It is a backhanded compliment to women and Hailee made light of it with the lyrics to her song and through the video. The video showcases different forms and looks of Hailee, to show that a girl can choose to be whoever she wants at any given time. At one point she is athletic, another time she is blonde, book smart, and even artsy. There is also a variety of girls wearing printed tees with word such as committed, fierce, focused, unstoppable and fearless.

The song explores the different types of girls and how they choose to live their lives. As described in the song, some girls looks their greatest when they feel like a queen and that is being however and whoever they wish to be. She also addressed the topic of liking your body as it is, but it also being OK to change something on it to make it better in your eyes, if that is your wish. The song is a celebration of womankind and their choices and tastes in THEIR lives.
