Let’s Talk About Amanda Seyfried’s Dress

Amanda Seyfried is back on the screens and will appear in the upcoming revival of Twin Peaks.

It’s no surprise that she looked awesome at the Twin Peaks premiere, channeling the “gothic, chic look” well while wearing a form fitting black dress and dark lipstick to pair with it. But the star player of the night wasn’t actually her, but the word “equality” stitched onto the hemline of her dress.

According to Marie Claire, she has been vocal about gender equality and the wage gap ever since she found out that she only got paid 10% of what her male co-stars were receiving, which sounds pretty ridiculous. In her words, “it’s not about how much you get, it’s about how fair it is”. It’s great that she is taking steps by using her platform as an actress to spread awareness about the unfair wage gap between men and women.
