Gabby Douglas Is Such A Doll

Gabby Douglas’s Barbie Dolls are now available for sale!

Gabrielle Douglas has her own Barbie that looks exactly like her. The Barbie line has outfits of the doll wearing a bodysuit with colors of the American flag, and another in a pink and black Nike tracksuit. She made the announcement on Twitter saying “I’m excited to inspire girls to play out their own dreams.” The line is to encourage young girls, especially young Black girls who wish to pursue a dream that may seem impossible. She wants girls to break barriers and achieve the impossible while striving for their goals.

Gabby Douglas is a world-renowned Olympian gymnast, and she is taking the world by storm. She gained world recognition after winning the gold medal at the Olympics for the individual all-around events and the team events during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. She is the first African-American to be an all-around champion in the gymnastics event. Since her wins and history making, she has been working hard and competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She received her own Barbie doll in 2016 prior to competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics, and her Barbie line was also announced then. Her gymnastics Barbie dolls are now available for purchase and can be viewed by following this link.
