GIANNA: I started dancing when I was four-years-old in a tiny church basement. A few years later I moved to the Abby Lee Dance Company and joined the dance company when I was ten.
GLITTER: Does anyone else in your family dance professionally?
GIANNA: Basically every female in my family has danced but my cousin Alyssa Guerrieri does dance professionally! I like to think I taught her everything she knows! Ha!
GLITTER: How long have you been choreographing for the Abby Lee Dance Company?
GIANNA: I have been choreographing and teaching at the ALDC since I was sixteen. When I was still in high school I would either teach the younger kids or assist Abby. It wasn’t until I graduated that I got to teach the more advanced students and choreograph my own routines.
Gianna explains how the girls will prep for Nationals with solo week in this scene from Season 5 Episode 26, “Where in the World is Abby Lee Miller?”
GLITTER: What’s it like to work with Abby?
GIANNA: Crazy! You never know which Abby you’re going to get! She’s known for creating controversial pieces that push the envelope. She’ll spill me her idea then I will take it and run with it. To this day, she says I’m the only person she’s worked with that can read her mind!
GLITTER:How would you describe Abby in one word?
GIANNA: Generous.
GLITTER: How would you describe yourself in one word?
GIANNA: Devoted.
GLITTER: Who are some celebrities that you’ve choreographed for in the past?
GIANNA: The ALDC recently shot a dance video for Meghan Trainor. We didn’t actually get to meet her, but I believe the video was featured on her social media. I’ve choreographed videos for two girls on Dance Moms: Mackenzie Ziegler and Kendall Vertes.

GLITTER: What has been your career highlight so far?
GIANNA: Definitely Dance Moms, and I know this is just the beginning! Getting to see the girls improve and win week after week is always a new highlight!
GLITTER: Who would you love to choreograph for in the future?
GIANNA: A huge tour for Selena Gomez or Meghan Trainor would be AMAZING, but I would also like to choreograph a concert or video for artists not so mainstream like Ingrid Michelson, Rachael Sage or Sara Bareilles.
GLITTER: What do you like doing in your free time?
GIANNA: Shopping! Getting my nails done, going out to eat, finding new music.
GLITTER: Best advice you’ve ever been given?
GIANNA: “Do you.”
GLITTER: Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?
GIANNA: We start filming season 7 of Dance Moms in September! Until then I am traveling all over the US teaching and enjoying some time off!
GLITTER: How can your fans follow you?
