GLITTER: How long have you been acting?

COREY: I’ve been acting on stage since I was six. I did a bunch of community theatre before I switched over to television and film about four years ago.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about Girl Meets World? Who do you play?

COREY: Girl Meets World is a sequel to the 90’s show Boy Meets World. It follows Cory and Topanga’s daughter and her friends as they navigate their way through middle school. The show covers topics and issues that many kids are going through. In the show I play Farkle Minkus, a zany character that loves school and values his friendships.

GLITTER: How are you like your character?

COREY: I don’t think I’m too much like my character but we both have a pretty good appreciation for school and the value of friendship.

GLITTER: What has been your favorite episode to date and why?

COREY: My favorite episode to date is “Girl Meets the Forgotten.” Mostly because of the message it teaches. The episode reminds us to notice and appreciate everything that people do, instead of taking them for granted. It’s really a lesson in gratitude; something most people could use.

GLITTER: What do you like to do on your free time?

COREY: I listen to music louder than I should and I like to photograph the world.

GLITTER: Do you have a secret crush on anyone?

COREY: Yes, it’s a secret.

GLITTER: Best advice you were ever given?

COREY: My mom always told me that what other people think of me is none of my business. Everyone is going to have their perception of you. As long as I’m happy with the person I’m being, then it doesn’t matter what others think.

GLITTER: Do you have a dream college?

COREY: I don’t have a specific school at the moment, but I’m looking at schools with great theater/photography and imaging programs.

GLITTER: Do you have some photos you can show your fans that you’ve taken?

COREY: I usually shoot with my Nikon D750 but I recently got a Polaroid Sun 600 and a Polaroid Spectra and I’ve been having a lot of fun shooting with film and experimenting with instant photography. Here are a couple photos I took with the Sun 600.

GLITTER: Do you like live theater more than TV acting or do you like them for different reasons?

COREY: I definitely like both for different reasons. I grew up doing theater so that will always be one of my favorites. And it’s a super special thing. You spend an intimate 2 hours with a whole new group of people every night and create something that will only be experienced with that specific group of people.

GLITTER: What’s your definition of self-love?

COREY: I think self-love is accepting yourself for exactly who you are and not comparing yourself to others.

GLITTER: Is there someone you’d like to work with that you haven’t worked with already?

COREY: I would love to do a show with Sutton Foster. I think she is incredible and I could learn so much from her.

GLITTER: Any projects you can tell us about that you’re working on next?

COREY: I’ll be playing John in Peter Pan and Tinkerbell a Pirate Christmas at the Pasadena Playhouse in December. It’s in the style of traditional British Panto and I’m looking forward to being back on stage again. I’m also working on a TV movie that will be released next year.

GLITTER: How can fans follow you?
