GLITTER: What would you say was your big break?

SLOANE: My first big break was booking a co-starring role on a CBS show, Partners. It gave me a real chance to expand and grow and meet and work with some awesome people like Sophia Bush, David Krumholtz, and Michael Urie. Also, the show I’m on now, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, because it’s really given me a chance to lead a show for the first time and carry a show. It’s given me so much experience and I’m enjoying every moment of it.

GLITTER: Who do you play on Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street?

SLOANE: I play Gortimer Gibbon, the title character on Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about the show?

SLOANE: The show is about three best friends who grow up on Normal Street, where nothing is quite normal and they soon uncover hidden and dark secrets within the street. They meet friends along the way and there’s a hint of magic.

GLITTER: What other shows have you guest-starred on?

SLOANE: I’ve guest-starred on Modern Family, The Neighbors, Big Time Rush, and my favorite, Wendell and Vinnie on Nickelodeon. I got to work with Buddy Handleson and Jerry Trainor and Nicole Sullivan, which is really funny because two or three years ago I guest starred on that show with Nicole Sullivan and just this year she guest-starred on my show, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, as Holly Fox, the botanist and she is in episode 11, “Ranger and the Fabled Flower of Normal Street,” so check out Nicole Sullivan there.

GLITTER: What is your favorite holiday and why?

SLOANE: Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it’s also my birthday so I get presents and a turkey. It’s great and family comes to visit so that’s always great!

GLITTER: Who is your dream collaboration with?

SLOANE: Oh man…that’s a tough one. Either Matt Damon, Jake Gyllenhal or Leonardo DiCaprio, or hey, all three. That would be great because I’d be able to work with such amazing actors who lose themselves in their roles and I could lose myself with them in a role and that would be amazing.

GLITTER: Do you do volunteer work as well?

SLOANE: I do. I help out at pet shelters and work with charities that help stop cyber bullying.

GLITTER: Is it true that you also compete in indoor skydiving?

SLOANE: I did. I used to. I’ve gone in the past to compete, but I haven’t this year because I’ve been so busy with the show. I go back every now and then and it’s so much fun to feel like you’re flying.

GLITTER: What is one thing your fans might not know about you?

SLOANE: I can do different accents from around the world. To see video of Sloane performing his accents, check out the Glitter YouTube at www.youtube.com/glittermagazine or the video up above.
