Ugh, beans and cheese, AGAIN?!

Trying to eat healthy at school can be hard.
We know the pain, schools serve greasy junk food, chips, sugary drinks, and too many bean and cheese burritos for their own good. If you’re trying to eat more greens and fruits, we have some perfectly easy tips you can use once school starts.

Mason jar salads: Place your favorite dressing on the bottom, then place your heavier ingredients (cherry tomatoes, nuts, meat, etc.), then top with your favorite salad mix or green. Place this lid side up in your backpack and when its lunchtime, flip it upside down so the dressing reaches your greens, then enjoy! Try recipes from this book by Julia Mirabella!

Green Juice: if you have no choice but to eat lunch at your cafeteria, at least bring a juice that will be healthier than that sugary sport drink or chocolate milk that comes with your meal. Prepare this juice the night before so it’ll be nice and ready to go. Our favorite recipe is just a mixture of spinach, kale, apples, squeeze of lemon juice, and orange juice.
