Kelli Berglund Talks Music
Kelli Berglund is best known for playing Bree on the Disney XD series, Lab Rats, and she sat down with Glitter Magazine to talk about the new season of Lab Rats, if she’d ever consider a career in music, her ideal prom date (we agree with her choice…so hot!), and who inspires her the most. Read on to find out more about this talented actress taking the screen by storm.
GLITTER: What can you tell us about the new season of Disney’s Lab Rats?
KELLI: Everything has changed… New locations, new characters, and new action. My brothers and I are now mentors to the bionic students, and while they learn a lot from us, we learn just as much from them!
GLITTER: Who do you play and when can we see it on air?
KELLI: I play Bree Davenport, a sassy teen with bionic powers. She has super speed, super agility, voice manipulation, and invisibility. Season four just premiered and is currently airing new episodes on Disney XD.
GLITTER: If you could describe yourself in five words, how would you describe yourself?
KELLI: Affectionate, determined, weird, optimistic, and insightful.
GLITTER: Would you ever consider a career in music?
KELLI: Yes, actually! Now that it’s looking like this will be the final season of Lab Rats, I’ll have some time to explore the music world. I have tons of ideas brewing in my brain!
GLITTER: Who would be your ideal prom date?
KELLI: Liam Hemsworth, please and thank you.
GLITTER: What designer would you rock to prom if you were to go?
KELLI: Elie Saab. Have you SEEN their gowns? Complete showstoppers.
GLITTER: What would be your ideal dance tune for prom?
KELLI: If the DJ started playing anything by the 1975, I’d be one happy camper. But if “Better Than Words” by One Direction came on? Those heels are comin’ off and I’m hitting the dance floor! 🙂
GLITTER: Is it true that you’re the queen of perfect makeup?
KELLI: Well, I don’t know about PERFECT make up, but I do have a love and fascination for it. I do so much research on beauty videos, make up reviews, and techniques that my makeup artist uses. I want to learn everything I can! Buying new makeup and trying out a new look is one of my favorite things to do.
GLITTER: What’s your favorite red carpet look this season and why?
KELLI: I love the slick, clean look. A sleek ponytail with a crisp white dress is an AMAZING look! Olivia Culpo’s dress at the Kids Choice Awards was the epitome of beauty and class.
GLITTER: Tell us about your work with the Audrey Hepburn Cares Team + The Los Angeles Children’s hospital.
KELLI: I’ve been working with the Audrey Hepburn CARES center for about 3 years now… And it’s opened my eyes in so many ways. The organization deals with abused children, and I originally wanted to get involved because I read a book many years ago about a young boy who had been horribly abused. My heart hurt so deeply that I wanted to do something to help children who have been through similar situations. No child deserves that, and while it may be a touchy subject for some people, the world needs to be made aware. I’ve met some pretty amazing people through spending time at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles… Doctors, nurses, and children.
GLITTER: Who inspires you most?
KELLI: Career-wise? Sandra Bullock. She’s an intelligent woman with so much talent; she impresses me with everything and anything she does. Personally? My mother. I’ve looked up to her since I was just a toddler. Her poise and intelligence is something I hope to have when I’m a mother one day. I can say honestly (that with the help of my dad as well) she’s raised both my sister and I so well, and she’s helped me shape myself through her advice and wisdom.
GLITTER: Do you have any other upcoming projects you can tell us about?
KELLI: I can’t say too much about it right now, but I’m set to film a movie overseas this summer! It’s an awesome project, and even though it’s a bit different from my character on Lab Rats, I’m pretty positive the fans will love it.
