GLITTER: What can you tell us about your new single, “Tears Fall”? What was the inspiration behind it?

JACQUIE: I will say that this song is very empowering, and it was inspired obviously there was a break up. Instead of being the sensitive sort of little weak pathetic girl who takes it harshly, and is sad about it, it’s more about accepting and embracing just the pain of what goes on in life.

GLITTER: “It’s Our World” will also be featured in the upcoming Disney movie, Monkey Kingdom. What can you tell fans about the film?

JACQUIE: I can tell them that they have to go and see it, because it is the most insane movie. I thought it was animated first of all before I saw it because just the plot of it was so elaborate. For it to be real monkeys that are being filmed there is a whole cast system, and a whole plot that goes with the actions of the actual monkeys. It was very creative and I highly recommend to go see it, if you haven’t already.

GLITTER: What was it like working with Christina Aguilera on season 5 of The Voice?

JACQUIE: Good question, Christina tought me a lot in a short period of time. I am just lucky that I chose her and it all worked out for me because it was a perfect fit honestly. She taught me mechanical things like breath support, but she also thought me stuff about the business that I wasn’t really too keen of because I am only 17.

GLITTER: What is your favorite song off of your Broken Ones EP?

JACQUIE: It changes, but right now “Tears Fall.”

GLITTER: Are you working on a debut album? If so, what can you tell us about it?

JACQUIE: The debut album I’m working on is going to be a little left of center. It’s just going to be whatever comes out; I am not really focused on putting it on a box or defining it as a certain genre. It’s just going to be whatever my little heart desires.

GLITTER: You have a lot of new and different projects in the works that are expected to release this year. What inspired you to branch out and explore new roles in your career?

JACQUIE: Well if an opportunity comes along I think about it long and hard. Also I ask myself is that really me; is it something I will really be interested in. I do the research behind it, but I am pretty open minded to whatever comes my way. I love experimenting and having fun with it, and putting my twist on things.

GLITTER: Can you share some news on what your new music will be like? Have you chosen your next single?

JACQUIE: I have some options for my next single, but I am not sure which direction I want to go in yet.

GLITTER: Who is your celeb crush?

JACQUIE: Young Leo, all the way!

GLITTER: What are some things your fans might not know about you?

JACQUIE: Some things my fans might not know about me, I’m avid Netflixer, and I used to play flag football. I’m the type of chick that eats the charms out of the Lucky Charms, but only the charms. I really like cereal. I used to have a hermit crab, and my favorite color changes.

GLITTER: What is your definition of self-love?

JACQUIE: Self-love in my opinion I feel like you truly love yourself when you look in the mirror and you don’t point out all the flaws that’s the first thing. Also you’re not easily threatened by anyone else, and you are happy for them in their success. It’s so hard I am even still guilty of it it’s just like you see someone doing really well, and for some reason it’s like all competition. It just makes you want to be them. To be truly happen for them means you’re so comfortable with yourself, that you can just let go and embrace the love.

GLITTER: What other projects do you have planned for the upcoming year?

JACQUIE: Well the album, which I’m going to take my time writing, and definitely maybe some potential tours, and travel. The Today Show is coming up soon. I’ll be performing on the show.

GLITTER: How can fans follow you?

JACQUIE: Fans can follow me on literally any social media site @jacquieleemusic is my tag, so check me out!
