Brooklyn is the Future Art Show
The Glitter fashion team was at it again Friday evening, but this time we wanted to show support to local artists. Taking place at the Vazquez Building in Brooklyn, Glitter checked out the work of 40 Brooklyn based artists and got a sneak peek of the new DJ Control Jog vision deck!
Walls of art
Imagine walking into a room that is bursting with art filled walls. Literally – the walls were humongous pieces of art. Local Brooklyn artists had their pieces showcased shining bright like diamonds. It was a landmine of vivid color, amazing texture and talent. We walked the galleries of the Vazquez Building countless times because the art demanded you appreciate the workmanship that went into each creation.
Spinning like a DJ
Glitter magazine’s team got a sneak peak at the new Hercules DJ Control Jogvision deck with live DJ sets to try out. We don’t like to brag, but we’re pretty good at spinning! Imagine hanging out with your friends as you check out the latest issue of Glitter magazine and easily connect this deck to your iPhone, iPad or laptop. Let the music spin and be the DJ! Meet two artists
The Vasquez galleries quickly filled with so many art lovers, but the Glitter team did have a chance to meet up with two of the evening’s featured artists. The first artist we spoke with Pesu, who you can check out by following him @pesu or checking out his site here. Here is Pesu pictured with his one of his piece that features a fierce, sleek and shiny Godzilla. The colors were so vibrant and our team instantly fell in love with this multi-colored gem.
The next artist we had a chance to meet with was Savior El Mundo. You can check him out by following him @saviorelmundo or by checking his work out here. Savior created this funky and cool Brooklyn is the future piece with painted tires that helped set the ambiance and mood of the event.

The wrap-up
Glitter magazine walked away from this event feeling great that we had a chance to meet such talented local artists and show support to the talent that exists here in New York. With works of amazing art surrounding us in every gallery and having the chance to be one of the first to try out the Hercules DJ Control Jogvision deck , we highly recommend you check out @bkisthefuture at the Vazquez building that runs until the end of April.
