Interview with Dylan Dauzat
Dylan Dauzat is taking the Entertainment Industry by storm as a renowned recording artist and social influencer. Best known for his comedic YouTube videos and creative 6-second Vines, Dylan is now gaining esteem as a recording artist for his original music and we have a special treat for you, Glitter girls. GLITTER: Is it true that your YouTube videos and creative Vines have gained you recognition for your music?
DYLAN: My music, YouTube videos and Vines stand alone when it comes to creative direction. However, they have certainly helped me generate an awesome audience who support my music
GLITTER: What can you tell us about your new single, “You Got That,” that just went live today?
DYLAN: My new single, “You Got That,” is definitely a bit different from my regular music. In the song I sing about being on vacation and wanting to get noticed by a pretty girl. Once I get the attention I was looking for, we only remained as friends. Disclaimer: this actually happened to me!
GLITTER: Do you see your music as an evolution?
DYLAN: I let the fans determine if it’s a evolution – and from the response of the singles I have put out, I would have to say it is an evolution. For future songs, I plan to intertwine pop music with a rap twist that allows my fans to dance and have fun with the song.
GLITTER: Are you working in studio on an album? If so, can you tell us anything about it?
DYLAN: Stay tuned! 😉
GLITTER: What was your first single that you ever released?
DYLAN: “Kickin’ it” by. Dylan Dauzat.
GLITTER: How do you give back to your community?
DYLAN: I try my hardest to reach out to those in need. My goal is to learn how to recognize when people need help even if it is hard for them to tell anyone about it. I participate in various bullying/violence campaigns such as DoSomething.org to use my voice valuably.
GLITTER: How would you describe your sound?
DYLAN: I would describe my sound as punk rock raspy mixed with fluent rap.
GLITTER: Do you have any celebrity crushes?
DYLAN: I don’t have any celebrity crushes, but I am talking to someone! 🙂
GLITTER: Is there something about you fans would be surprised to know?
DYLAN: See above – No one knows yet, so this is an exclusive!
GLITTER: Best advice you were ever given?
DYLAN: Ground yourself, and always recognize your weaknesses. The strongest people can do this.
GLITTER: What’s your definition of self-love?
DYLAN: It’s simple and complex at the same time. In a few words, its the ability to wake up in the morning, feel confident enough to conquer the day without having too much of an ego.
GLITTER: What can you tell us about your campaign with DoSomething.org?

GLITTER: Is there someone you’d like to work with that you haven’t worked with already?
DYLAN: Justin Bieber.
GLITTER: Any projects you can tell us about that you’re working on next?
