BLOOMINGDALES – CFDA DESIGNERS ON INSTAGRAM
THE Glitter fashion team hit the fashion scene Wednesday evening with back-to-back events. First stop – Bloomingdales 59th street for their presentation of the CFDA’s Designers on Instagram book.
Lights, camera, and literal ACTION.
Let’s be honest – Bloomingdales knows how to host a great event. Camera flashes everywhere, celebrities galore, and a ton of fun activities filled the room. The historic Bloomingdales on 59th street hosted the event that celebrated the launch of the CFDA’s Designers on Instagram book. Upon arrival, we could not resist the urge to check out the Bloomies windows highlighting the event.
What an exciting sight to see! Once getting to the event, a VIP experience and crowd that were all attending to celebrate fashion and photography greeted the Glitter crew.
Bloomingdales’s CEO Tony Spring and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb hosted the event with music blasting by DJ Brendan Fallis. There were many fashion influencers under one roof, limitless bubbly, loads of activities, vision board crafts by @barsandcrafts, and self-sticks at every corner we turned!

The CFDA’s instagram-themed book is a great way to see how industry insiders are turning to social media to influence the fashion world. We all use social media like instagram and to see famous designers take to their own instagram accounts allows us to realize they are just like us and love the fashion! The Designers on Instagram book is filled with gorgeous colorful imagery and is a limitless explosion of fashion packed pictures that will keep you flipping back and forth between pages! As we flipped through the book, we found one of our favorite pictures. It helps to celebrate your #selflove campaign© from page 133.
The wrap-up
In the end, the Glitter fashion team left the event feeling loved, and thankful we had a chance to check out this industry event. The activities Bloomingdales had during the event, matched with the great jams by the great DJ, and the fashion packed pictures from the CFDA’s book led to a great party at Bloomingdales 59th street. Not to mention our great grab bag that had the new book.
