Paris Smith On Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way
Paris Smith is best known for playing Maddie Van Pelt on Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way. Paris recently sat down with Glitter to talk about when she first started acting, who she’d love to guest star on a future episode, her favorite hobbies, and how she balances school and acting. Paris has amazing news that she can’t share yet, but we’ll be there the minute she’s able to!
GLITTER: Can you tell us when you first started acting?
PARIS: I first started acting in Theatre when I was five-years-old. I booked my first commercial when I was seven-years-old. I moved to LA in 2011 to pursue my career in acting singing and dancing.
GLITTER: Who do you play on Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way?
PARIS: I play Maddie Van Pelt on Every Witch Way. Maddie is the popular cheerleader who finds out she is a witch. She is the meanest girl at Iridium High School.
GLITTER: Who would you love to guest star on a future episode?
PARIS: I would love for Ariana Grande to guest star on a future episode because she’s super talented.
GLITTER: Who has been your favorite co-star to date?
PARIS: My favorite co-stars are the entire cast of EWW for different reasons. We are a big family. We prank each other and laugh a lot together.
GLITTER: You’ve also done theater as well. Is that how you started on stage?
PARIS: Yes that is how it all started. My first theatre production was the Wizard of Oz. And I played Glenda.
GLITTER: Would you ever consider voice-over acting?
PARIS: Yes, I booked my first voice over audition for Leap Frog! I doing voice over because I love to play different characters with different voices.
GLITTER: You also sing correct? What songs do you have out right now and where can readers purchase them at?
PARIS: The songs I have released are: “Crush on Hollywood,” “Game Over” and “He Says.” You can buy them on iTunes.
GLITTER: What three songs are on your iPod right now?
PARIS: The three songs on my iPod right now are “Bang Bang,” “Shake It Off,” and “All About That Bass.” I mostly listen to pop and R & B.
GLITTER: What do you love to do in your spare time?
PARIS: I love shopping listening to music, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and going to movies. Most of the time, when I have down time, I just like to chill and listen to music.
GLITTER: Do you have any favorite hobbies?
PARIS: I love soccer, shopping, swimming and my dogs, Bella and Lucy! I love dressing my dogs up in outfits.
GLITTER: What is something fans may not know about you?
PARIS: Fans may not know that I never where matching socks. I have done this my entire life.
GLITTER: How do you balance school and acting?
PARIS: I balance both school and acting because I am home schooled. Home schooling allows flexibility with my shooting schedule. I am a very serious student so doing well in school is extremely important to me.
GLITTER: Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tell us about?
PARIS: Yes! Stay tuned because nothing’s been announced yet, but I can’t wait to share the news with everybody.
GLITTER: What would be your dream role in the future?
PARIS: My dream role would be starring in my own show and doing a feature film. I love both comedy and drama.
