Interview with Kevin Fonteyne from ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey
Kevin Fonteyne is best known for playing Marco, Joey’s nephew, on the ABC Family’s hit show, Melissa & Joey. We find out what it’s like having Joey as his TV uncle, what it’s like acting on Melissa & Joey, his perfect day off, and his not-so-secret crush on Jennifer Lawrence. GLITTER: When did you first start acting?
KEVIN: I began acting when I was five-years-old. It immediately became an outlet for me.
GLITTER: What’s it like acting on ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey? Who do you play?
KEVIN: It has been a surreal experience. To have watched and then work with such comedy veterans such as Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence has been a real honor. I play the role of Marco, Joey’s nephew.
GLITTER: Who has been your favorite co-star?
KEVIN: That’s a tough question. I can’t narrow it down to a single person. Everybody makes the set such a wonderful place to be. I have known Taylor for a number of years prior to my joining the cast and it has been really fun working with a friend.

GLITTER: What’s it like playing a character who has a secret relationship with Lennox? Has that caused some interesting moments on the show?
KEVIN: Having a secret relationship on the show has been really interesting. For instance, when Lennox and I come home from grocery shopping and Dani overhears us talking about our relationship.
GLITTER: Describe your perfect day off.
KEVIN: My perfect day off would be spent with my family. I’m a total mama’s boy. I had to move away from home to pursue acting and don’t get to see them as often as I would like.
GLITTER: What do you love to do for fun?
KEVIN: I really enjoy playing golf. It’s such a challenging sport yet peaceful at the same time.
GLITTER: Do you have a secret crush on anyone?
KEVIN: If I said who I had a secret crush on it wouldn’t be a secret, now would it? But I will admit, I’ve always thought Jennifer Lawrence to be adorable.
GLITTER: What do you have planned for the upcoming year? Any new projects you can tell us about officially yet?
KEVIN: At this time, I’m not at liberty to say. I have a few things that my team and I are working on. I’ll divulge more information when the time presents itself.
