INTERVIEW WITH KARIS CAMERON
Glitter Magazine recently sat down with Karis Cameron, who plays Dylan Blake on TeenNick’s Open Heart to talk about who she plays, what other shows she’s been on in the past, the craziest idea she’s ever had, and the greatest lesson she’s ever learned.
GLITTER: When did you first start acting?
KARIS: I started acting when I was about fourteen.
GLITTER: What’s it like acting on TeenNick’s Open Heart? Who do you play?
KARIS: I play Dylan Blake on Open Heart and it’s absolutely amazing working on Open Heart, the cast is wonderful and we always have fun on set even though we’re all working hard.
GLITTER: What other shows have you been on in the past?
KARIS: I’ve only been on a couple other shows, a TV show called The Haunting Hour, and a Hallmark TV show called Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
GLITTER: Best gift you’ve ever received from a fan?
KARIS: I haven’t received anything from a fan, but I’m thrilled that they all seem to love the show so much!
GLITTER: Craziest idea you’ve ever had?
KARIS: It was probably the decision to start acting, because I live so far away from the closest auditioning spot, about a five hour trip one way.
GLITTER: What is playing on your iPod right now?
KARIS: Currently it’s playing a cover song that the 1975 did to One Direction’s song “What Makes You Beautiful.”
GLITTER: Secret crush?
KARIS: Miles Teller.
GLITTER: Greatest lesson you’ve ever learned?
KARIS: Live in the moment and enjoy the little things in life, because one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things.
GLITTER: Who would you love to costar with?
KARIS: Oh there’s so many people, but I would love to co-star with Shailene Woodley, I think she’s amazing.
GLITTER: What do you have planned for the upcoming year? Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?
KARIS: No plans yet.
