INTERVIEW WITH NIA FRAZIER OF DANCE MOMS
Nia Frazier stars in Lifetime’s Dance Moms. In this interview with Glitter Magazine, Nia talks about what it’s like being on Dance Moms, if working with Abby has made her a better dancer, her goals for 2015 and how fans can follow her. GLITTER: What’s it like being on Lifetime’s Dance Moms?
NIA: It’s fun, but it can be challenging at times. I miss the rest of my family when we travel which we do a lot. The time spent with my friends and performing make it worthwhile.
GLITTER: Has working with Abby made you a better dancer than you were before you were with her?
NIA: I’ve always trained with Abby. She can be strict, but that pushes me to continuously improve my technique and dancing.
GLITTER: What has been the best thing that has happened to you since being on the show?
NIA: The show has allowed me access to so many new and wonderful experiences. Since being on the show, I’ve had the opportunity to share my life with my fans on social media, attend various award shows and begin a career in music.
GLITTER: Sometimes when watching Dance Moms it seems like the mothers are pushy. Are they really like that or is it all for show? Is your mom like that or is she totally supportive?
NIA: The moms on the show say what’s on their minds. They are strong willed and are not afraid to ask for what they want. My mom is my biggest fan and always supportive of me and my goals.
GLITTER: Do you get along with the other girls?
NIA: Most of us have danced together for years and basically grew up together. At this point, they are the closest I have to sisters.
GLITTER: Can you tell us anything interesting about the upcoming season 5 without giving away any spoilers?
NIA: Season 5 is all about confidence for me. You will get to know more about me and my plans.
GLITTER: Do you see yourself dancing as a lifetime career?
NIA: I want to entertain people and make people smile. I love to dance, sing and act. My ideal career path would include all three.
GLITTER: What are your goals for 2015?
NIA: This year I would like to sing and continue growing as a dancer.
