INTERVIEW WITH DOVE CAMERON
Dove Cameron is best known for playing identical twin sisters, Liv and Maddie Rooney on the hit Disney show, Liv and Maddie. Dove recently sat down with Glitter to talk about what it’s like playing twins, what to expect in the new season of Liv and Maddie, her upcoming Disney movie, Descendants, and what she did this Thanksgiving! Read on to find out all about this talented actress.
GLITTER: What can viewers see in the new season of Liv and Maddie?
DOVE: I can’t even begin to explain to you how excited I am for you all to see the rest of season 2! As the season picks up speed, you can expect to see a LOT of romance for BOTH of the girls, drama in boy-land and HUGE musical performances. The new season is massive. We’re on a whole new level this time around. I’m really proud of it. 🙂
GLITTER: What can you tell us about the upcoming Disney movie, Descendants? What is it about and who do you play?
DOVE: Descendants is one of the most exciting and thrilling projects that I’ve ever been lucky enough to be a part of. While I can’t give too much away, I’m allowed to tell you juuust a little bit about it. The story of Descendants follows the teenage children of the classic Disney villains and heroes that we’ve all grown up with and love (or love to hate). The story revolves around Jay, the son of Jafar, Carlos, the son of Cruella De Ville, Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, and my character Mal, the daughter of Maleficent. It’s a Drama, Action, Comedy, Romance film with musical numbers, directed by the legendary Kenny Ortega. I can’t wait for you guys to experience it. It’s magic!
GLITTER: What are your favorite fall trends?
DOVE: This may be fashion sacrilege, but I’m not the most on top of trends, or ‘hot right now’ clothing items! My favorite kind of things are classic, timeless items that look good on anyone, any time, no matter the trend. Black cape coats with huge bows, a classic black cigarette pant with a black pump heel, an ivy-green strapless party dress. Those were some of my favorite fall items that I found!
GLITTER: What did you do this Thanksgiving?
DOVE: For Thanksgiving this year, I took my boyfriend Ryan back to Seattle, Washington with me to meet my whole family and show him where I grew up! It was amazing to be home, and I baked so many yummy things! Any time I get to spend with my family is my happy time. 🙂
GLITTER: What are you working on next?
DOVE: I’m just about to wrap up filming season 2 of Liv And Maddie, and then I have a new film coming out called Barely Lethal. In my off-time, though, I’m hard at work on my music! Lots of new stuff coming, guys. I’m really grateful.
GLITTER: How can people follow you?
DOVE: I’m on Instagram and Twitter, both as @dovecameron. I don’t have any back-ups or personals for just my friends or anything like that. I like to keep my one and only accounts open to my fans, because my fans are my friends. 🙂
