Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend by Louise Rozett

Award-winning playwright, Louise Rozett, knows how to perfect a teenage voice and does so in her new young adult novel, Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend. Confessions of an Almost Girlfriend

Her main character, Rose Zarelli, is determined to make everything different her sophomore year. Her YA deals with issues most teenagers face at one point or another like bullying, fear, guilt, drugs, peer pressure and what’s more, she didn’t gloss over the problems, but dealt with them. The book also deals with the fabulous times you have like crushing on boys and laughing at the stupid things that can happen. Louise’s writing makes you think you’re back in high school and if you’re still in high school you’ll appreciate the novel even more, and for those recently out of high school, it’ll bring you back once more.
