REAL PEOPLE: Interview with Madelyn Carek

Glitter Magazine recently sat down with up-and-coming actress, Madelyn Carek, to talk about the entertainment business and where she sees herself in five years.

GLITTER: How old were you when you decided you wanted to be in the entertainment business?
MADELYN:
As far back as I can remember I was always dancing or singing around the house. I would even makeup dance routines and little skits with all of my friends. But when I truly thought to myself I want to entertain a bigger audience I was around seven or eight.  I tried out for a competitive cheerleading team where I could perform in front of thousands of people every month and in the same year I auditioned for a school play and got the lead role of Cruella De Vil. After that play, I knew entertaining was going to be my life.

GLITTER: What made you choose New York?
MADELYN:
I visited NYC with my family two years ago for my sixteenth birthday and I fell in love instantly. There is always something going on in the city and I love that. So when it came down to having to choose where to start my career, New York was the first place in my head. There is just something indescribable about New York City that will always pull my heart in.

GLITTER: Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
MADELYN:
I draw inspiration from so many things ranging from my mom to my fans, but my biggest inspiration honestly comes from within myself and my past in a motivational way.

GLITTER: What is your favorite entertainment job so far?
MADELYN:
My favorite entertainment job so far has been writing and trying to establish myself in a music career. I love getting into the zone and writing lyrics down and thinking of how I want the music video to look and I can’t wait to share my music with everyone

GLITTER: What exposure have you received so far in acting and modeling?
MADELYN: I have done many fashion shows out of Cincinnati through organizations like Cincy Chic and UC DAAP. I was also in a national ad for JoAnn fabrics and Justine magazine. Those are just the highlights of the modeling I have done. For acting I have been in multiple plays including 101 Dalmatians where I was Cruella Devil & Peter Pan where I was Tinkerbell. I was also recently a bikini model on Law & Order SVU.

GLITTER: Where do you see yourself in five years?
MADELYN:
I see myself right up there with the big names like Selena Gomez, successfully acting and singing.
