Taylor Swift performs “Out of the Woods”

Nearly 15,000 screaming fans lined Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday night to see Taylor Swift appear on  Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s outdoor concert stage.
The concert was as a kickoff to a promo tour for her new album, 1989, and Swift shared her new mature sound, performing “Out of the Woods.”

“I’m more confident about this album than I’ve been about any of the other ones, which is a really nice feeling,” Swift said. “But it’s almost like you’re releasing this thing into the world that you spent two years with, and it’s just been mine for two years and now it’s everybody else’s. You know, sending it off to college.”

After appearing on Kimmel, Swift will appear on Good Morning America in NYC on Monday, followed by  CBS’ Late Show With David Letterman on Tuesday and The View on Wednesday. Swift will finish with a final performance on Thursday, Oct. 30, for GMA.
