GLITTER: What is it like growing up in the acting business?

JACOB: Well, first of all, I love acting and have had the most amazing experiences. I’ve gotten to work with awesome people. My family life is super important to me and we keep things pretty simple.  I have other interests too, and some great friends that I hang out with!

GLITTER: Who has been your favorite actor or actress to work with so far and why?

JACOB: Wow, that’s a tough one.  I’ve worked with Elizabeth Banks, Alex Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer, and so many other amazing people.  I would have to say, Sean Giambrone from The Goldbergs. Sean is such a great person as well as a great actor.

GLITTER: What was it like working with the cast and crew of True Blood?

JACOB: Working on True Blood was such amazing experience!  I mean I was one of the Vampire Authority members in my suit and fangs!  Working with Alex, Stephen, Chris Meloni, Peter Mensah, Carolyn Hennesy, and Christopher Heyerdahl was very cool!  I was the only kid on set and both the cast and crew treated me with such respect. Not to mention there are many jokesters on set; it was a fun!

GLITTER: What do you love to do more voice-over acting or on-screen acting?

JACOB: That’s a hard choice!  I love them both! Can I say that?

GLITTER: What’s it like being the voice of Gumball Watterson on the Cartoon Network animated hit series, The Amazing World of Gumball

JACOB: You just asked me my favorite question.  I love being the voice of Gumball!  I have had the best time of my life voicing this character…Gumball is a very complex cat, you know!  Every day I go in to record is the day I laugh the most!

GLITTER: Who are some of your influences?

JACOB: I would have to say my mom and dad are my biggest influences.  They support me in so many ways and help me make all of this work.  I have a lot of responsibilities, both in acting and outside of it, and I couldn’t do it all without them.  They have taught me confidence, courage, self-respect, compassion, integrity, to be myself, and so much more.  I love them both very much.

GLITTER: If you could change anything that’s happened to you so far would you?

JACOB: I wouldn’t change a thing.

GLITTER: How can people follow you on social media? Do you interact with your fans often?

JACOB: I do interact with fans; they’re great!  People can follow me on Twitter @HopkinsJacob5 and on my Instagram hopkinsjake.

GLITTER: What’s it like playing Chad Kremp on the ABC hit show, The Goldbergs

JACOB: Playing Chad Kremp has been an absolute blast!  I love The Goldbergs, so when I got cast, I couldn’t have been happier.  Chad is a good kid, but he’s always up for an adventure with his buddy Adam.  I can’t wait to see what happens in Season 2!

GLITTER: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what five things would you bring with you and why?

JACOB: My Pokémon cards because I don’t leave home without them, a fishing pole so I could catch fish, my brother because we have a lot of fun together, my swim suit because I love to swim, and my Nintendo 3DS so I wouldn’t get bored.

GLITTER: If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead who would it be and why?

JACOB: I would like to have dinner with George Lucas so I could ask him every Star Wars question I ever had.

GLITTER: What are you looking forward to the most this summer?

JACOB: I’m so excited for my aunt and uncle and cousins to visit!  They’re from Michigan and Indiana.

GLITTER: Do you have any hidden talents?

JACOB: I can play the drums.

GLITTER: Do you have any secret crushes?

JACOB: Yes, but that’s a secret!
