Francia Raisa talks New Year’s Resolutions!

Francia Raisa chats with Glitter about her favorite winter trends, her new years resolutions, and a special message to her fans. Francia is well known as her role as Adrian in The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and her recent movie for ABC Family, Christmas Bounty! She has a strong spirit, and is making 2014 the year of no fear and wants you to know you can make it your year of no fear as well. Read on and she’ll tell you how!

GLITTER: What is your favorite thing about Winter?

FRANCIA: Since I live in LA, I get to go to the beach in the winter and no one else can. I get to wear bathing suits in the winter.

GLITTER: Do you ever want to see snow?

FRANCIA: I do! I just saw snow for the first time when we were shooting a pilot, and it was really fun. I was in NY in November and it was really cold. I do like the big coats and scarfs look, and I can’t really do that out here. I love that you can wear whatever under it and no one will know.

GLITTER: Did you make any new year’s resolutions?

FRANCIA: My friends and I decided this was the year of no fear. I’ve had a pretty rough year so far. I had to put my dog down, and that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. I still cry about it. I had her for twelve years. I realized I can’t just sit around and mope, and I think it’s going pretty well so far. I’m taking action, and it’s just now February so that’s good. I’m still not where I want to be, but I’m telling myself that it’s only been a month since the new year, so I still have time.

GLITTER: What is one message you want to say to your fans?

FRANCIA: I just want to tell them how grateful I am for their support. Since Bring it On, they have been so loyal and amazing, and always pushing me to keep going. There are moments where I want to quit and be done, but they motivate me to get up every day with all the love and support. I want them to know how thankful I am to them.

GLITTER: What would you tell someone who isn’t confident but wants to go to prom?

FRANCIA: Always find something you like about yourself. There has to be something. Obviously there is things that people love about you, and you just have to embrace them about yourself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you feel insecure and ugly, or not worth it… people are gonna see you that way, because you are going to feed that off of other people. The only reason some people are as attractive as they are, is because they are confident.
