Interview with Bridgit Mendler!
Glitter Magazine recently sat down with Bridgit Mendler, our favorite Hollywood sweetheart, to talk about her US tour, being nominated as “Choice TV Actress: Comedy” at the Teen Choice Awards for her role as Teddy Duncan, in Good Luck Charlie, who she’d love to switch places with for the day, and her celebrity crush. FYI, it’s Shane Harper who plays Spencer Walsh on Good Luck Charlie. He also happens to be her boyfriend in real life. Read on to find more about the amazing Bridgit Mendler.
GLITTER: Last time we spoke, you said that your favorite song on your new album was “Hurricane,” what was it like to perform it on The Ellen Show?
BRIDGIT: Performing “Hurricane” on The Ellen Show was nerve-wracking, but amazing at the same time. I had so much fun with that audience! My nerves went away once the show began.
GLITTER: Where does your US tour kick off?
BRIDGIT: We’re kicking it off June 16 in Burlington, IA.
GLITTER: You also have VIP upgrades for your tour. What kind of perks does one get if they have VIP access and how do they go about purchasing VIP tickets?
BRIDGIT: You can purchase regular tickets through the show vendors, but then purchase VIP upgrades through my website at http://www.bridgitmendlermusic.com/events. A VIP upgrade includes meeting me and getting a photo after the show, a VIP poster signed by me, and a VIP laminate!
GLITTER: Billboard Magazine listed you as “One to Watch” in their Fall Music Preview. How does that feel knowing
you’re one of the artists they want everyone to watch out for?
BRIDGIT: That is such an honor. I feel very flattered, but it also makes me want to put on an amazing show to give them something fabulous to watch!
GLITTER: Do you have anyone opening up on your new tour?
BRIDGIT: It varies in each city.
GLITTER: What’s the best part of performing in front of a huge crowd? Do you get nervous?
BRIDGIT: I definitely get nervous! I try to run through the lyrics in my head before I go out on stage because I’m paranoid that I’ll forget them!
GLITTER: You were recently nominated for the Teen Choice 2013 Awards for “Choice TV Actress: Comedy” for your role on the show. What did that nomination feel like? What can fans expect on the new season of Good Luck Charlie? Anything you can spill?
BRIDGIT: I was so surprised and honored by the nomination! I watch a lot of the shows that the other nominees are on so it’s crazy to be in the same category. In this season, Teddy has a lot of relationship drama so watch out!
GLITTER: If you could be anyone else for the day, who would you be and why?
BRIDGIT: I would love to be Gwen Stefani for a day. She is so creative and cool all the time. I’d love to make her music and design her clothes.
GLITTER: Do you have a celebrity crush?
BRIDGIT: Shane Harper!
GLITTER: Do you have any exciting plans for the summer?
BRIDGIT: I’m going on a family vacation to France! Gotta brush up on my French though. Haha!
