GLITTER: Tell us about your character in Let it Shine.
TREVOR: I play Kris McDuffy, Cyrus’ best friend. Kris is a ladies’ man and is very ambitious. He has a very over the top personality and always wants to be the life of the party.

GLITTER: To what extent could you relate to the character?
TREVOR: I would say we are both ambitious and like to have a good time.

GLITTER: What was your favorite aspect of filming Let it Shine?
TREVOR: The cast and crew became my family! We had so much fun! The food in Atlanta was delicious!

GLITTER: How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?
TREVOR: I started tap dancing when I was 3yrs old. Then that led to me acting when I was 7yrs old, I booked my first professional job at a regional theater in my hometown. Then I was in the Broadway National Tour of the Lion King from the age of 8 till 11yrs old. After that, I moved to LA and starting doing commercials, TV and movies and I have been here ever since.

GLITTER: Describe your musical style.
TREVOR: I love all music! So a mixture of everything but I’d say my style is old soul, R&B, Pop & Hip Hop.

GLITTER: What are your favorite three sing along songs?
TREVOR: Billie Jean—Michael Jackson
Stand Out (A Goofy Movie)—Tevin Campbell
Heartbreak Hotel—The Jackson 5

GLITTER: If you could collaborate with any musical talent, whom would it be? And why?
TREVOR: Michael Jackson because he is my musical inspiration. He inspired so many people and changed the world. I feel like I could have learned so much from him.

GLITTER: What do you hope to be doing in 3 years?
TREVOR: I hope I am still doing what I love to do! I would love to be on tour with my music while still doing movies and television.

GLITTER: What advice do you have for readers interested in becoming an actor?
TREVOR: You should take acting lessons, be in your school plays, community theater, and audition for projects in your town. Remember, it’s all about having fun! Don’t get discouraged, be determined….every “no” is one step closer to a “yes”! Remember don’t do it to be famous but because you would not be happy doing anything else.
