QUESTION:

My best friend and I have had these amazing plans all year. But now she’s saying she doesn’t want to do any of them. I am so confused AND angry. She won’t give me a good reason and I don’t even feel like talking to her any more. What should I do?

ANSWER:

Ooh, that’s tough. There must be a reason for her to have withdrawn socially. Take a deep breath and consider that it might not have anything to do with you and your friendship. Ask her (as calmly as possible) what has happened and then see . . . what happens.
