Interview with Rany Wayne!
Most known for his roles as “Luke Duke” in the television remake of The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning and as “Brandon” opposite Kat Graham on Honey 2, Randy Wayne plays “Justin Miller,” Laurel’s boyfriend, on ABC Family’s hit show “The Lying Game.” Randy has a busy year ahead of him, with a number of film projects set to release this year (including a role in Dark Star Hollow with Josh Hartnett). Glitter caught up with Randy to talk about his favorite part of “The Lying Game,” his goals in life, and more!
GLITTER: You have some movie projects for 2012. Can you tell us more about them?
RANDY: Honey 2 just finished its international theatrical run, and will be released straight-to-DVD in February. It’s a fun dance movie with a lot of energy. Also coming out in Feb is a faith based skateboarding movie [Hardflip]. It’s a touching family drama. John Schneider and Rosanna Arquette play my parents.
GLITTER: Who are you looking forward to working with and why?
RANDY: The Coen Brothers would be on the top of that list. They are just fantastically well-rounded and my favorite directors in the game.
GLITTER: Who / what inspired you to pursue a career in acting?
RANDY: My mother suggested I give it a shot. I had never thought about it until she brought it up. At first I wasn’t interested and now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Thanks mom.
GLITTER: If you weren’t an actor, what do you think you would be doing right now?
RANDY: The original plan was to be a Horticulturalist or a Landscape Architect.
GLITTER: What are some of your life goals?
RANDY: To be happy. Make others happy. Challenge myself. Travel the world. Have a family.
GLITTER: What’s your favorite part of being on “The Lying Game?”
RANDY: I like the drama and the unknown. I’m always looking forward to the reading next script to see what kind of trouble and conflicts the characters are getting into next.
GLITTER: Who would you like to see guest star on the show?
RANDY: Rashida Jones… Can you make that happen? Please.
GLITTER: If you were given the chance to play any character of your choice in a remake movie, who would you want to play?
RANDY: The Sundance Kid from “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”
GLITTER: Do you have any advice for someone who is looking to get into the business?
RANDY: Passion Patience Persistence.
