How To: Ribbon Flower Headband

PROJECT: Ribbon Flower Headband
With just a few supplies, you can make a flower headband to match your favorite spring outfit. From the ribbon to the embellishments, you can customize it as much as you want. This hair accessory is perfect for the warm weather. I’d love to see what you make – tweet me at @kirstengail or stop by my blog, studs-and-pearls.com.
Supplies:
– Thin headband
– Spool of ribbon
– Hot glue gun
– Embellishment of your choice. Buttons, beads and charms are all great ideas!
– Scissors

1) Glue one end of the ribbon to the end of the headband.
2) Continue wrapping the ribbon around the headband, adding glue every now and then to help secure the ribbon.
3) Keep wrapping until you reach the end of the headband, and glue the ribbon down.
4) Cut three pieces of ribbon, each about 4 inches long.
5) Fold the ends of the ribbon so that they meet in the center. Glue down. Repeat with the other two pieces.
6) Glue one piece on top of the other, like above.
7) Glue on the third piece at an angle, like above.
8) Glue the embellishment in the center.
9) Attach the flower to the headband with a small amount of glue.
10) Make one to match all of your favorite outfits!
