GLITTER: How did you land your big break in the entertainment industry?
RAVEN: I was on a show called The Cosby Show. I auditioned for Ghost Dad; I didn’t get the part but the people who were casting for Ghost Dad were casting for The Cosby Show and that was Sydney Poitier. And that was my big break.

GLITTER: What is your greatest achievement to date?
RAVEN: My greatest achievement to date would have to be my sanity.

GLITTER: What was it like working on Disney’s The Princess Diaries II: Royal Engagement?
RAVEN: Opposite Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews, it was absolutely amazing! I love Julie Andrews and I love Anne Hathaway. I always loved Mary Poppins and it was such a wonderful set working with Debra Martin Chase and the director as well and – ahh! it was amazing.

GLITTER: You have worked with some of the greatest comedians of our time, like Bill Cosby and Eddie Murphy. What have you learned from them?
RAVEN: I’ve learned a lot of stuff from all the comedians that I’ve worked with but mostly it’s the professionalism and to always know that this is a job.

GLITTER: What genre of film is your favorite to work on? Romance? Comedy? Drama?
RAVEN: That would have to be a comedy. I’ve done others but that’s my favorite.

GLITTER: How does your work as a producer differ from acting?
RAVEN: Well, there’s a lot of differences because they’re different titles; it’s different requirements. I love being a producer. I love being in control. I love being part of the creative process. And I love acting where I get to create within someone else’s creations.

GLITTER: In your career, are there any goals you have yet to reach?
RAVEN: Oh, many!  But that’s for me to know and for you guys to see later in the future.

GLITTER: What is the best thing about being in the public eye?
RAVEN: Ooh, goodness.  What is the best thing about being in the public eye? You get to promote what you love to do.

GLITTER: Are there any additional projects we should look out for?
RAVEN: Always. Music and other projects with my name. Not necessarily starring but also producing.

GLITTER: As a role model to girls all over the world, do you have any advice every teen needs to know?
RAVEN: Every teen needs to know that life continues and it’s very very fun and it’s very difficult. Take it with a grain of salt. Brush your shoulders off and keep on cracking.
