Glitter Magazine Rocks at the Forever 21 Spring 2012 preview!

The Forever21 Preview was more like a party set at the beautiful Ramscale Penthouse in the West Village of New York City.

This penthouse had the most amazing night views of the city; the loft space seemed as if you were relaxing in a friend of a friend’s posh home. I felt like the belle of the ball, ok I guess the beau of the ball. I was immediately struck by the 4 ft origami crane that was back lit in lavender. There were also beautiful models handing out tasty hors d’oeuvres. I was surrounded by some of the coolest looking people I almost forgot I was there to check out the clothes.

The pieces were right on trend without looking too trendy. In the back of the room there were these cardboard cutout girls with cute dark bob haircuts and dressed in girly and pretty pieces. It felt youthful and innocent like a little girl having a Parisian tea party. The A-line dresses were in floral or with a lace overlay, always with a lace collar, but sometimes belted with a pop of color like teal. The look was completed with a rectangular neutral evening bag. It was very cute. Even some of the accessories played with the floral and lace theme. There were these adorable lucite bangles in floral and along with a pair of floral platform heels accented with glitter.

For the edgier girl there was a rocker section. The mannequins were dressed in cut off denim vests or military jackets sporting a loose fishtail braid. This section had more studded details along with ripped denim jeans in white or netting over a form fitting dress. The accessories were mainly in silver or black. This section was less whimsical than the previous. It was a bit harder hitting, yet fun and playful for the urban chic girl.

At this preview I got a little bit of everything: great accessories, key pieces, and most of all a great time!
