AllStar Weekend Interview!

Allstar Weekend is the next big band hitting the teen scene! They have been called a mix between Blink 182 and the Jonas Brothers but they have a melodic sound and an edge all their own. Their freshman album Suddenly Yours is available on ITunes and is already being dubbed a certified classic. The all boy band has moxie, charm and sheer musical talent that can blow anyone away. The band includes both Zach and Nathan on Vocals/Guitar, Cameron on Bass and Michael on Drums. All of the guys are still in their teens yet they gifted well beyond their years.

The band draws inspiration from all of the greats like Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Blink 182, Elton John, Prince, Michael Jackson and Duran Duran. It was not only the artists that inspired them to create great music but the producers. They decided to work on much more than just vocals. They also focused on yielding a certain result like how the drums were mixed and how producers tracked vocals. Amazingly, the band still found time to perform locally and build a fan base. Eventually, their fan base swelled and they grabbed the attention of the Walt Disney Company.
Allstar Weekend was then selected to participate in Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing and fans simply fell in love! Soon after, they were signed to Hollywood Records with 631,509 Facebook fans and 2.5 million Myspace hits. Get pumped listeners, Allstar Weekend is ready to rock!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY GLITTER MAG READER, Meghan Maloney:

If you could play at any arena/stadium in the world, which one would it be and why?

If I could play at any arena in the world it would be at Madison Square Garden because, it has such a well known arena and you know you made it if you’re playing at a place that big.

What is different about your upcoming Suddenly Yours Tour in comparison to the Suddenly Tour?

On the Suddenly Yours Tour, we’ll be playing brand new songs, pulling out brand new tricks on stage, and we’re touring with some great acts.

Where do you find inspiration to write music?, Are you constantly thinking up songs?

You can really find inspiration from anywhere and anything. A lot of my inspiration comes from girls, relationships, other music, and growing-up.

There never is a moment when I’m not formulating some sort of rhythm and melody in my head. The ideas are endless.

Do you have a set play list?

I do have a set playlist. It consists of these songs: MGMT- kids, Neon Trees- 1983, Crash Kings- Non- Believer, La Roux- Bulletproof and many more songs.

What is the ultimate direction of your band?
Ultimately, we want to keep doing what we love. We want to keep our music enjoyable for all ages. As we progress as a band our music will as well. And as long as we can promote a fun and positive message through our songs and with our personalities, then I think we’ll be in a safe place in the future.

Do you hope to be world renowned or are you happy at the spot you are in right now?

As a musician, there’s always room for improvement. We’re in a great place right now, but we want to be in an even better place a year from now. You always want to get better at song-writing, playing live, and everything else in this industry. Ultimately, we love what we’re doing. And when you’re passionate about something, you’ll do whatever it takes.
