Where did you grow up in Barbados?
West coast, right on the beach! I’d wake up every morning to the sound of crashing waves…definitely miss that!

What were some of your outlets for performing growing up?
Well I started my love for performing when I did my first school play. A friend told me to try out so I figured, why not? I ended up being cast as the lead role and never gave up my obsession for performance!

What was your inspiration for music?
Everything and anything inspires me. Life inspires my music. I love life, I live it to the fullest.

What age did you start performing?
My first school play was in grammar school. I was about 11, definitely had some serious stage fright!

How does it feel to have reached this level of success?
It feels unreal! I have to pinch my self every day to make sure this is actually happening. Omg! I’m so grateful for the life I’m living!

Where do you like to shop?
Where don’t I like to shop is the real question.
My favorite shopping cities are New York City, LA and Paris. I love mixing high end pieces with vintage and thrift store clothes. I’m definitely a regular at Top Shop in Soho, NYC. I also can never leave LA without hitting up Joyrich. In Paris, Colette is no doubt my fave. But then again, there’s nothing like a great find in a thrift or vintage store!

What do you enjoy doing outside of your career?
When I’m in Barbados I love to surf during the day and hit the clubs at night. In the US, shopping is my favorite. I have so much fun spending time with my friends, they rock!

What are some of your favorite hair products?  (Your hair is very cool!)
Omg I cannot live without Cat Walk hair product. It comes in a little vibrant blue bottle and I buy like 10 at a time. Oh and hairspray is a lifesaver, but I don’t have a certain brand- they all do the trick!

How does it feel to tour with Justin Bieber?
When I first found out I actually let out the loudest screech of my life. I freaked out and started jumping off the walls. This is a major milestone on my career. Wow, I really can’t believe I’ve made it this far.

Do you ever get nervous on stage?
Umm…YES! Lol. Right before I go on I get some serious jitters, but once I’m up there its the best feeling in the world.

What was your big break into the industry?
My 16th birthday when I found out I was being signed to SRP Records and Universal Motown. It was the best birthday gift ever! I don’t think anything can top that!!

Any advice for aspiring teens that want to pursue singing?
Never give up. When I started my love for singing as a little girl, I never looked back. I knew this was going to be my career for life no matter what. Keep on trucking and you’ll make it, trust me!
