Move over Mariah, there is a new star in town! Alexis Jordan is the newest member of the Star Roc/Roc Nation family. This eighteen year old phenomenon is already making waves in the music world. She has accomplished performing for such greats as Simon Cowell and Stevie Wonder. Alexis is a powerhouse of music and her strong yet soothing voice is simply amazing.

This songstress has already charmed the audiences of America’s Got Talent with her positive music and compassionate demeanor. At only fourteen years old Alexis made it to the semi-finals of the competiton, after singing a breathtaking rendition of “I have nothing” by Whitney Houston. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to further her career, soon after she began to record videos on Youtube and was instantly a hit! By September 2008, Alexis’ Youtube page was getting swarms of attention, with over a million views. Her page also got a major record label interested in signing her.

Alexis garnered the attention of the multi-platinum and award winning production/writing team Stargate. Stargate’s partnership with Roc Nation formed Star Roc. The team decided to fly Alexis to New York for a meeting and recording session. After recording a few songs, Jay Z was in the room and just like that, she was signed to Star Roc/ Roc Nation.

Now, Alexis has worked with the biggest and best names in music today but manages to stay grounded. She prides herself on creating uptempo, toe-tappers as well as heart wrenching ballads. Alexis wants to put the empowerment back into mainstream music and her upcoming album aims to please! Her powerful vocals are sure to move all audiences no matter the age, race, gender or nationality.
